Sailing DURING THE DAY
Lake Taupo, fringed by rolling hills, endless forests and wilderness, is located in the center of New Zealand’s North Island. It is a majestic, imposing pristine lake, and inland ocean, as large as the island of Singapore.

Here you can enjoy fly-fishing in the world’s best trout fishing streams, water-skiing, sailing, boating and all manner of water sports. Easily accessible by road are the ski-fields of the North Island and there are dozens of fishable streams a short boat trip across Lake Taupo.

Lake Taupo boasts one of the tallest bungee-jumping platforms in the world, and the new W2K shared cycle and walking track opened recently, which runs for 20km and go from Whakaipo Bay to Kinloch. Nearby Rotorua’s natural setting provides lots of thrill and adventure experiences. Walk on a volcano, raft the highest commercially rafted waterfall in the southern hemisphere, try Zorbing and luging (two Rotorua world first adventure options) or mountain bike some of the world’s best trails.
